Holt County Crashes Leave Two Injured

 (KLZA) Slushy, icy roads blamed for two wrecks in Holt County, Missouri Monday that sent two people to the hospital on St. Joseph.

29-year-old Daniel Edwin of Beloit, Wisconsin suffered serious injuries when his northbound Suburban went out of control, went into the median, rolled and ended up on its wheels in the southbound lane of I-29 about 11:30 a-m. The vehicle was totaled.

The wreck occurred about 11:30 a-m five miles south of Mound City.

31-year-old Tequitha Griffin of Mound City suffered moderate injuries when her Ford Explorer hit a highway sign and guard rail approximately three miles south of Mound City shortly after 10 a-m.

The vehicle suffered moderate damages.

Both crashes investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol. The Atchison – Holt Ambulance Service transported both parties to the hospital.

The Holt County Sheriff’s Office and Mound City Police also assisted with the wrecks.
