(KNZA)--The execution of a search warrant Friday night leads to the arrest of a Horton man on child sex related charges.
Horton Police Chief John Calhoon says the investigation began earlier in the week, and led to a joint investigation between Horton Police and the Hiawatha Police Department.
Arrested was 20-year-old Dallas Bond, taken into custody on charges including sexual exploitation of a child and electronic solicitation of a child.
Calhoon says the crimes allegedly involved a female acquaintance under 14-years of age. Bond is also named as a person of interest in a Jackson County investigation.
The Brown County Sheriff's Department recused itself from the case because Bond is a former dispatcher for the agency.
Bond is being held in the Jackson County Jail, where he was transported following his arrest.
