(KLZA)-- The Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer School Board will have the same leadership for the next year. Scott Ogle will serve as Board President again and Steve Schaardt will serve as Board Vice President.
Sandy Stalder will continue as Board Treasurer. The State Bank of Table Rock and American National Bank will serve as depositories. The Falls City Journal, Humboldt Standard and Pawnee Republican were all three designated as officials newspapsers for the HTRS School District.
In other action the Board formally approved a two year contract for Sherri Edmundson to serve as HTRS Superintendent beginning in July. Her salary in year one will be $110,000.
Board members accepted with regret the resignation of Elementary and Middle School Counselor Trudy Fankhauser who will be retiring after 14 years with the HTRS School District.
A negotiated agreement with the HTRS Teachers group was approved for the next two years. The base pay will increase $425 for both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years. The base pay for a new teacher in 2015-16 will be $33,925 and for the 16-17 school year it will be $33,350.
The HTRS Board also approved an agreement with Beatrice Mechanical for another 25 in-room heating and cooling units for the school district. 25 were purchased this past April. The cost for the units will be $67,208. Beatrice Mechanical will also be working with AHRS Construction on the building addition at the Humboldt site.
Progress on the addition at the Humboldt site has been slowed by the cold temperatures. The HTRS Board did approve a resolution concerning Ameritas construction notes for the project.
Board members also heard a report on technology from Glena Withers and Jeremy Marteney ( martini) and approved having a drivers education program this year.
