(KAIR)--A continuance has been granted in the case of an Atchison man facing several theft related charges.
20-year-old Chase Chapman appeared in Atchison County District Court Friday morning, and Judge Martin Asher set a new court date for January 16th following a request from Chapman's attorney.
Chapman was arrested earlier this month on a district court warrant for burglary, theft, and conspiracy to commit burglary. Chapman allegedly entered a residence located in the 600 block of North Second Street and removed two saws from the property.
A second suspect in the case, 21-year-old Brett Betts, pleaded no contest to charges related to the case later Friday morning, and is scheduled to be sentenced February 13th.
