(KAIR)--Three more candidates have filed for various elections in Atchison County.
According to Atchison City Clerk Debra Clem, City Commissioner Jack Bower has filed for re-election. Bower first served on the Commission from 2009-2011, and was appointed to his current position in 2012.
Atchison County Clerk Pauline Lee reports that Mark Hurst has filed for re-election to the Effingham City Council, and Barbara Chapman joins Michael Regan in filing for the position one spot on the USD 377 Board of Education currently held by Brian Jolly.
Candidates have until noon on January 27th to file for the April election.
