(KAIR)--A Friday evening traffic stop has led to the arrest of an Atchison man on drug related and theft charges.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, an officer stopped 32-year-old Thomas Lackey just after 9:00 near the intersection of Sixth Street and Ravenhill Road for failing to dim his headlights. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered what appeared to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle along with several items that were later determined to have been allegedly taken from Walmart minutes before the stop.
Lackey was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license, and theft.
