(KLZA)-- A jury trial has been set for Falls City man charged with four felony counts of possession of child pornography.
41-year-old Matthew Leaf pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Richardson County District Court to the charges. The jury trial was scheduled for March 11, 2015 with bond continued in the case.
Leaf was arrested October 23rd following an investigation by the Nebraska Attorney Generals office that began in October 2013. Court documents allege that a computer in Leaf’s Falls City apartment contained numerous images of child pornography.
Leaf, was represented by Steven Mercure, with the Richardson County Public Defenders Office.
A motion for discovery requested by Mercure was granted Tuesday. The State is to make available to the defense copies of materials the prosecution may produce as evidence in the trial.
If convicted, each charge is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and / or a $25,000 fine.
