The Nemaha County Farm Service Agency and the Meadowlark Extension District is hosting two Farm Bill meetings on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at the Community Building in Seneca, Kansas. The first meeting will start at 1:30 pm and the second meeting will begin at 7:00 pm. The meetings are free and open to the public.
Meeting attendees will learn about Farm Service Agency (FSA) Farm Bill programs including: Information on Base and Yield Updates, Price Loss Coverage (PLC) program: Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) programs, and Farm Loan Programs
David Hallauer, Extension Agent, will demonstrate the online decision-making tools that are available to producers to help make important enrollment decisions regarding the Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs. Learning more about ARC and PLC is extremely important for producers who must make a one-time decision about base and yield updates as well as ARC or PLC election and enrollment decisions. An FSA representative will be in attendance to answer any questions on ARC and PLC policy and procedure.
For more information about the meeting, please contact Rob Larkin at (785) 336-2164 extension 2.
