(KLZA)-- Excellent results continue to provide needed information for an upcoming feasibility study as NioCorp Development Company continues to study all aspects of developing a mining operation near Elk Creek to extract Niobium from the ground.
NioCorp has released additional results from its Phase II drilling program and advancement operations in Elk Creek. Final analytical results continue to support niobium mineralization in the area. The drilling results from the Elk Creek deposit remain impressive according to a release from NioCorp Development President Peter Dickie.
Company CEO Mark Smith says the company is excited the drilling continues to provide results supporting the objective of developing a world-class niobium asset.
NioCorp is developing the only primary niobium deposit known to be under development in the United States, and the highest grade undeveloped niobium deposit in North America, which is located near Elk Creek.
Niobium is mainly used to produce high strength, low alloy steel, to produce lighter, stronger steel for use in automotive, structural and pipeline industries. Currently the U.S. imports 100 percent of its niobium needs.
