(KNZA)--A Perry man was killed Saturday night in a fiery crash on a Jefferson County road about 2 ½ miles northwest of Perry.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 56-year-old Dennis Bedford was westbound on 22nd Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and his Toyota Camry went off the road into the south ditch. The vehicle went down an embankment, overturned on its top, and caught fire. Bedford was pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol says it’s not known if Bedford was wearing a seat belt.
The crash was reported shortly after 7:30, west of Thompsonville Road.
