(KLZA)-- The Veterans Day celebration in Falls City will start at 11 a-m Tuesday with the annual Veterans Day Program at Falls City High School.
This years guest speaker is Dr. Adrian Lewis, Retired U.S. Army Major, World War II expert and Author Professor at the University of Kansas. This program will be aired on A-M 1230, KTNC.
The Veterans Day Parade will begin at 1:30 p-m and will travel south on Stone Street from 20th to 14th.
Following the parade there will be a reception honoring Veterans at ShopKo that is open to the public. Also following the parade, the Stalder Gallery at the Falls City Library and Arts Center will be open for an hour to view the Heroes display of John P. Falter paintings commissioned by Esquire Magazine which shows World War II Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.
At 6 p-m the Veterans Day dinner will be served at the First United Methodist Church at 1700 Harlan Street. The dinner is open to the public. A free will donation will be accepted. Then at 7 p-m Dr. Adrian Lewis will present a Gallery Talk in the Stalder Gallery at the Falls City Library and Arts Center. The Gallery talk will be streamed live to the church as part of the Veterans Day Dinner program.
