(KMZA)--Extensive damage is being reported in Frankfort after a severe storm containing golf-ball size hail and winds up to 70 miles-an-hour passed through the southern part of Marshall County Thursday morning.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff Dan Hargrave, numerous structures in the community were damaged—mainly roofs. The roof was partially torn off City Hall.
Widespread tree damage was reported, with a few trees uprooted onto houses. In addition, power lines and poles were downed.
Generators were being brought into the city until power could be restored.
At this point, Hargrave says there's no indication there was any tornadic rotation in the damage and that it was straight line winds.
No injuries were reported.
