(KTNC)--Community leaders from the four-state region of Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa are encouraged to participate in a Missouri River Corridor planning session.
The workshop will be held at the Kimmel Education and Research Center in Nebraska City on November 17 and 18. The workshop’s goal is to identify strengths, needs, and opportunities for counties and communities along the Missouri River Corridor.
Cooperative Extension agents from the four-state region will facilitate the workshop.
According to University of Missouri Extension Community Development Specialist Beverly Maltsberger, the meeting is an opportunity for leaders to come together to identify specific projects that will benefit the entire region.
The cost to attend the conference is $55, which includes meals and breaks. Registration is required by November 3. For more information, or to register, contact the Buchanan County Extension Center at 816-279-1691.
