Learn Gascinating Bug Lore At Insect-O-Rama In St. Joseph
Insects are small in size but huge in importance to people. They are a fascinating cornerstone in nature’s complex ecology. Insects pollinate food crops and often come in beautiful colors such as butterflies and moths. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host Insect-O-Rama 10 a.m. to 12 Noon on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the MDC Northwest Regional Office, 701 James McCarthy Drive.
All activities are free and fun for all ages. Insects and exhibits about them will be on display. Experts will answer questions about bugs that are fun and those that are pesky.
The MDC Northwest Regional office is on the Missouri Western State University campus. For more information, call 816-271-3100.
MDC connects people with nature. For more information about critters and conservation see http://www.mdc.mo.gov.
