(KTNC)--The Missouri State Patrol reports two people were injured in separate traffic crashes in far northwest Missouri on Monday.
The first happened at 5:15 a.m., on U.S. Highway 59, three miles north of Oregon. The State Patrol says 24-year-old Kyle Kelly of Scotts Hill, Tennessee, lost control of his 2005 Nissan, which went off the west side of the roadway, struck a culvert, and rolled. The car came to rest on its wheels facing east off the west side of the road.
Kelly was taken by ambulance to the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph for treatment of moderate injuries.
The second accident happened shortly after noon, on southbound Interstate 29, two miles north of Corning.
Officials say Joy Harvey of Lincoln, Nebraska, over-corrected when her pickup went off the roadway. The pickup rolled several times, coming to rest on the drivers’ side off the west side of the road.
Harvey was transported by ambulance to the Fairfax Community Hospital with moderate injuries.
