(KLZA)-- Work continues on Highway 136 through Auburn. Paving of the driving surfaces on phase 3, from K Street to Irvin Drive was completed this week. Work to prepare intersections and drives in that section is ongoing and if the weather cooperates cement should be poured in at least part of the intersections on Saturday.
Sidewalks in the area should be completed by mid-July.
Phase 2, which is H Street to F Street, was opened to local traffic on Tuesday. Truck and Semi-traffic should still be using the detours around the area.
Some of the sidewalk will be removed and replaced in downtown Auburn between K and H Streets. This will be to correct an issue with rain- water flow.
