(KNZA)-- A second candidate has filed to serve as representative of the 61st District in the Kansas House of Representatives.
Vivien Olsen, of St. Marys, filed Wednesday for the Democratic nomination. Olsen is currently an attorney in the Pottawatomie County community.
Former state representative Becky Hutchins, of Holton, filed last week for the Republican nomination.
The 61st District includes most of Jackson and Pottawatomie Counties.
St. Marys Republican Richard Carlson, who currently represents the 61st District, has announced he won’t seek re-election.
Candidates have until noon, Monday to file.
