(KNZA)-- A northwest Missouri mother has been sentenced in connection with a crash that killed her young son.
Alicca Williams, of Easton, appeared in a Buchanan County courtroom Thursday for sentencing on a felony charge of endangering the welfare of a child. KQ2-TV reports a judge sentenced Williams to five years probation and also took away her driving privileges
Williams had pleaded guilty to the charge after her 20-month-old son was killed in a crash east of St. Joseph in January.
Prosecutors say Kaiber Williams was not properly restrained when she lost control of her car on an icy road and crashed into a snow plow.
