(KAIR)--The Atchison Police Department is investigating an early Wednesday morning break-in at the Kex-Rx pharmacy.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, officers arrived on the scene just after 5:20 in response to an alarm being triggered. Upon investigation, it was determined that an unknown suspect had made entry by breaking a front window and removed an unknown amount of the prescription drugs dilaudid and hydrocodone.
Wilson says the burglary took place quickly, and the suspect fled the scene before police could arrive.
Police do not yet have any details on who may have taken the items, but the investigation is ongoing.
