Area Truckers Plead Guilty in Sex Trafficking Case
(KNZA)--Two St. Joseph area truckers have pleaded guilty to their roles in a federal child sex trafficking case.
KQTV reports 55-year-old St. Joseph resident Tony Eugene Wardlow pleaded guilty Friday to a charge of transporting an individual across state lines for prostitution.
Co-defendant, 49-year-old DeKalb resident Thomas Farrell, pleaded guilty earlier this month to aiding and abetting Wardlow.
As part of the plea, Wardlow, a registered sex offender, admitted to transporting a child to Texas to engage in prostitution activity with him. He met the child in August 2011 when the child was working as a prostitute in Kansas City.
Under terms of the agreement, Wardlow will be sentenced to 10 years in federal prison without parole. Farrell faces up to three years in federal prison without parole
