(KTNC)--A Wreaths Across America ceremony will take place Saturday at the Pawnee City Cemetery.
Wreaths Across America is a national program in which wreaths specially designed for the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and POW-MIA are placed on memorials at more than 750 locations across the country.
The program started more than two decades ago, when the Worcester Wreath Company placed wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. This year, it’s projected that more than 150,000 volunteers will place over 400,000 wreaths.
Saturday’s ceremony at the Pawnee City cemetery begins at 11:00 a.m.
