(KNZA)--A presentation on Kansas during Great Depression will be held in Hiawatha on Wednesday, November 20th.
Lorraine Madway, curator of special collections at Wichita State University, will give the presentation in the upstairs of the Frances Sewell Plamann History Center (clock tower building ) at 6:30 that evening.
Madway says she became interested in Kansas during the Great Depression because of her interest in the history of the 1930s.
Brown County Historical Society Director Eric Oldham says the program is being provided to the community through a special donation from John Means in memory of his late wife, Joann.
It’s among several presentations being held in conjunction with a special traveling exhibit currently on display on the second floor of the City Hall featuring items and artifacts from the Great Depression and World War II era. The exhibit will be on display through January 4th.
