(KTNC) - The 7th Annual Jingle Bell Ride will spread holiday cheer in Falls City this weekend.
Horseback riders will fan out around Falls City Sunday afternoon to collect toys and Christmas gifts that will be donated to children served by SENCA in Richardson County.
Registration will be at noon Sunday, and riders will leave from the Falls City Senior Center at 1:00 p.m. to collect donated toys and gifts that will be distributed as part of SENCA's Holiday baskets.
Event organizer Sherry Huddleston says the riders will make 85 stops on four routes this year. Riders will head out at 1:00 p.m., and they plan to parade through downtown Falls City at about 3:00 p.m. Sunday.
Riders and volunteers will meet at the Senior Center following the ride for soup and dessert.
To have the riders stop at your home to pick up a gift, contact Huddleston at 402-245-3191. Gifts can be for children from infant through high school age. Huddleston says people can bring gifts to the Senior Center on Sunday, and there will be trees at Shopko, Personal Care, and Dollar General in Falls City where people can donate gifts.
To participate in the Jingle Bell Ride, go to the Senior Citizen Center between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to volunteer.
