(KMZA)--Pottawatomie County authorities are seeking information on a string of vehicle thefts from three Manhattan area car dealerships.
Sheriff Greg Riat said Monday that the sheriff’s office received a report of three vehicles stolen from Frieling Auto Sales. At the scene, deputies found that the business’ office also had been burglarized. Riat said 14 sets of car keys were stolen, along with a laptop computer and a Blackberry cellphone.
While deputies were working that call, Riat said they discovered that additional vehicles were reported stolen from two other dealerships---Purple Wave Auction and Fritzson Motors.
Three of the vehicles taken have been recovered, while two remain missing. They include a dark green 2001 Dodge Ram extended cab pickup and a white 2000 Ford extended cab pickup. Another vehicle wasn’t stolen, but had its window broken out.
Riat said each of the crimes was believed to have occurred between 6 Sunday evening and 8 Monday morning.
Anyone with information on the crimes is urged to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s office at ( 785) 457-3353
