(KAIR)--The USD 377 school board will soon learn if voters in their district approve a bond proposal that will provide funds for school improvement, but have other issues to address before that November 5th vote.
District Superintendent Steve Wiseman says that one of the main focuses of their meeting Monday night, was planning ahead for the future. They spent quite a bit of time working on goals and gave the administration some work to do as far as setting some target goals.
Wiseman also said that the district is only one of 200 elementary schools in the state to implement the Lexia reading program. The program is full funded by a $200,000 grant from the state, which provides the needed software and professional development needed to implement the program.
Also during the meeting, the board decided to move the high school graduation from 10:00 in the morning on May 17th to 4:00 in the afternoon the same day. They also agreed on an emergency operation plan for the district.
