( KNZA )--A Holton man has pleaded guilty to charges in a child sex case.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says 46-year-old James Michael Baxter entered the plea Friday in Jackson County District Court to charges contained in an amended complaint of one count of electronic solicitation of a child and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Pursant to a plea agreement, Miller says Baxter faces at least 120 months in prison for the offenses. Sentencing is set for October 11th.
Baxter was arrested in late April after Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies and officers with the Department of Homeland Security served a search warrant at a residence on 262nd Road in connection with an investigation into the distribution of child pornography. Officers seized computers from the scene.
