( KLZA )--Representatives of the Richardson County Road and Bridge Department and a Union representative met with the county commission Tuesday to continue negotiations for a contract period retroactive to July 1st of this year.
After each side offered counter proposals, the Union agreed to the county’s offer of a two year contract with a 2.75 percent pay increase each year. They also agreed to add a half-day holiday for Christmas Eve when the day falls on a workday and to review medical insurance benefits after the Health Insurance Committee makes a recommendation to the County Board.
Commissioners did not agree to an increase in the accumulated limit on paid-time off to 90 days as proposed.
The agreement will now go to the rest of the union employees for a vote.
