(KNZA)--Four resignations are made official during Monday evening's meeting of the Wathena City Council.
Leaving their positions are Wathena Police Chief Raymond Hall, part time police officer Jeremy Wisler, City Superintendent John Hontz and assistant Superintendent Jeff Clark.
KQ2 News is reporting that while the resginations were made official during the meeting, the employees had been planning the departure for several weeks.
Hall tells the television station that he's unhappy with the city's direction under the leadership of Mayor Brian Walker, who formerly served as Police Chief.
It's confirmed that Hall will remain Police Chief until September 3rd, when he departs to begin working as a Doniphan County Sheriff's Department Deputy.
