(KNZA)--A St. Marys man was injured early Monday afternoon after the car he was driving was struck by a road grader at a Jackson County road intersection northwest of Delia.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 66-year-old Richard Heim was traveling westbound on 118th Road when his 2005 Ford Focus was struck on the driver’s side by Caterpillar road grader that was northbound on D Road shortly after 12:30.
Heim was transported to Topeka’s Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center with disabling injuries.
The operator of the road grader, 50-year-old Steven Rose of Delia, was not hurt.
The Patrol says both men were wearing seat belts.
