( KNZA )--Leavenworth’s K-92 Centennial Bridge will now be closed Friday for bridge inspection work.
The bridge had originally been scheduled to be closed today ( Monday ) but the inspection work was postponed.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says both lanes of traffic will be shut down, from 9 Friday morning until 3:30 that afternoon, if weather allows.
Although there will be no marked detour, KDOT is suggesting that motorists use either the Amelia Earhart Memorial Bridge in Atchison or the I-435 Kansas River Bridge in Wyandotte County.
