(KMZA)--Details are made public regarding the single vehicle early Sunday morning crash that left a Baileyville woman dead.
According to the Nemaha County Sheriff's Department, 20-year-old Kayla Strathman was southbound on State Highway 63, just south of 24th Road, near Corning, when her Chevy Tahoe drifted off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle began to broadslide and hit a field driveway, causing it to go airborne, and roll over, ejecting Strathman.
Although the exact time of when the fatal crash happened remains unknown, a person who discovered the wreck reported it to Nemaha County authorities at 4:40 Sunday morning.
Strathman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, is being remembered by family and friends on a Facebook page, established in her honor, hours after the fatal wreck occurred.
Strathman is survived by her parents, Rich and Jan, along with two brothers,Jeff and Dustin, a sister, Dana Kohake, grandmothers Rita Strathman and Jerian Rethman, both of Seneca, and two nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at Sacred Heart's Catholic Church in Baileyville.
The Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca is in charge of arrangements.
