(KTNC) - Three Great Western Bank Branches in southeast Nebraska will be closing later this year. Bank officials say the branches in Auburn, Humboldt, and Tecumseh will be closing as of Tuesday, September 17th.
A total of 13 branches are closing across the Great Western service territory. Company officials say a combination of factors went into the decision to close the branches, including profitability, demographics, competition, and location. Bank employees and customers were notified of the decision last month.
Great Western Bank has nearly 200 locations in seven states –Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Arizona, Colorado, and South Dakota, with assets of over $9 billion. There will be 59 Great Western branches in Nebraska after the closures.
