(KTNC) - Mound City residents are reminded to trim trees on their property that overhang streets. Trees need to be trimmed to the edge of the street and 16-to-18-feet high.
If property owners don’t trim trees, city employees will do the work. The mayor or a city council member will attempt to make a courtesy call on property owners who need to trim trees.
The city has received complaints about trees hanging over streets. The council discussed whether to hire a company to do the work or have it done by city employees during last week’s meeting.
