Alcohol Believed Factor in Atchison Co Injury Accident
06/18/2013

(KAIR) -- Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor in a single vehicle  accident northeast of Atchison Monday evening that sent an Atchison woman to the hospital.

According to Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie, 51-year-old Debra L Walker  was traveling north on River Road, about one-fourth of a mile south of the Independence Bridge, when she lost control on 2007 Ford Focus on the gravel.

Her car spun across the roadway and into the west ditch, rolling onto its passenger side.

Walker was transported to the Atchison Hospital by EMS with minor injuries.

Laurie says the accident happened around nine Monday evening and it's unknown if Walker was wearing a seatbelt.
