(KTNC) - A Tarkio man was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon, after he lost control of the truck he was driving on a rural Atchison County road. According to the Missouri State Patrol, 24-year-old Taylor Hurst was driving a grain truck in the area of Route O and 180th Street, five miles north of Tarkio, at 12:30 Monday afternoon, when the vehicle skidded out of control, crossed the centerline and went of the south side of the roadway. The vehicle overturned, coming to rest on its driver’s side, spilling 925 bushels of corn off the south side of the highway.
Hurst was transported by private vehicle to the Fairfax Hospital for treatment of injuries. Authorities say Hurst was not wearing a seat belt.
