(KNZA)--Kansas motorists traveling this Memorial Day weekend are reminded: extra law enforcement is on the roads as part of the occasional “Click It Or Ticket” campaign.
The statewide initative is conducted in partnership with local law enforcement agencies, including the Hiawatha Police Department, where John Defore serves as Police Chief(Play Audio)
Defore says those officers will be on the lookout for erractic, or dangerous driving, such as motorists under the influence, as well as seatbelt violations(Play Audio)
The special enforcement effort will continue both locally, and statewide, through June 2nd.
