(KAIR) -- The city of Effingham will soon try a different type of treatment on city water.
The Council agreed Wednesday night to start the process to purchase Chlorox bleach in bulk.
City Clerk Pat Strine says Chlorox was the recommendation of KDHE for the city to stay consistent with their chlorination levels.
The Council also set the rates for the city pool for this year.
The base admission rate and punch cards will stay flat, while season passes will be 180 dollars for a family of four and 10 dollars for each additional family member.
However, the pool party rate will increase.
The rate will go from 100 to 125 dollars for a two hour session for up to 40 people.
