(KNZA)--A Strong City, Kansas truck driver, passing through Jackson County Friday morning, suffers minor injuries when his big rig collided with a turkey.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says the bird smashed through the windshield of the Kenworth semi, leaving 45-year-old Joseph Anders covered with glass.
It happened at U.S. Highway 75 and 266th road, where Anders was treated at the scene for cuts from the glass.
He refused further treatment and was not transported.
Morse says the accident happened shortly after 11:30.
