(KAIR) -- Three buildings at Missouri Western in Saint Joseph will get new rooftops.
The university’s governing board approved a 434 thousand roofing project from Roberts Roofing Company, Inc. for Spratt, Looney and Baker Hall Tuesday during their regular meeting.
Dr. Robert Vartabedian also discussed plans for a Walter Cronkite memorial that will be installed in Spratt Hall this fall.
The original unveiling was scheduled to coincide with the anniversary of the assassination of President John Kennedy on November 22nd.
However, the Cronkite family thought it would be more fitting to unveil it on Cronkite's birthday, which is November 4th, which will now be the new unveiling date.
Cronkite was born in Saint Joseph in 1916.
