(KAIR) -- Atchison has a new Mayor.
Dave Butler was appointed to the post once again at Monday’s Atchison City Commissioner Meeting.
This is his sixth term, previously serving as Mayor from 1991 to 1993, 2000 to 2002 and 2009 to 2010.
He says under his new title for the next year, he aims to make sure ongoing projects keep their course. (Play Audio)
Former Mayor Allen Reavis was also appointed as Vice-Mayor by the Commission.
Reavis, and Commissioner Rita Hartman and Larry Purcell were sworn into office for another term.
Reavis and Purcell earned four year terms at the polls earlier this month while Hartman earned a two-year term.
