(KTNC) - Falls City’s annual spring clean up is this Saturday. The clean up includes the return of the popular bi-monthly recycling events at the Recycling Center at 6th and Stone.
Full recycling – including glass, numbers one through seven plastic, cardboard, tin, and aluminum cans – will be available from 9:00 a.m. till noon on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
In addition, the recycling center will now accept electronics, including computers, office equipment, VCRs, televisions, radios, and cell phones. There is a five-dollar fee to process each television.
Saturday’s community clean up includes a collection of items too large for normal trash removal in the parking lot adjacent to Prichard Auditorium. Falls City residents are also encouraged to “freecycle” this week, by leaving items curbside with a “free” sign on them. Items not picked up during the week can be brought to the collection point on Saturday.
