(KAIR) -- Easton’s current Mayor has been written into a second term.
According to City Clerk Jere Chieppo, Phil Myers received the most write-in votes from last week’s elections and has accepted to serve the post for another four years after initially not seeking another term.
No one else filed for the Mayor position in the municipal elections and Myers did have the right to reject the election.
Myers, along with the rest of the City Council, will be sworn in during the May 6th meeting.
Clinton and Joey Culbertson will be new to the council, defeating incumbents Bob Watkins and Sherry Dodson last week.
