( KMZA )--The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the unattended death of a 53-year-old Oneida woman.
Sheriff Rich Vernon says the sheriff’s office received a call of an unresponsive female in the city of the Oneida around 8:30 Monday morning.
Deputies and medical personnel responded to the scene where they found Alice Payne dead in her home.
Vernon says the county coroner was called to the scene.
He says the death remains under investigation, but foul play isn’t suspected.
