(KTNC) - Time is running out for residents of Peru to fill out and return a community needs survey. The two-page surveys were mailed to approximately 230 households, along with return envelopes, with the March utility bills. The surveys need to be filled out and returned by Friday, April 5th.
Survey results will be tabulated and shared with the public during a Peru Town Hall meeting that’s tentatively scheduled for the week of April 22nd.
The City Council will then hold a formal public hearing at its June 10th meeting to consider project proposals and take additional input.
Peru residents who did not receive a survey and want to provide input can pick up a blank survey at Peru City Hall, or by calling Southeast Nebraska Development District in Humboldt, at 402-862-2201.
Peru city officials say all residents of the town are encouraged to participate in the survey.
