(KNZA)-- A four-hour standoff ended peacefully Friday at a mobile home park in Wathena.
KQTV reports a man refused to come out his trailer at the Gaslight Acres mobile home park along U.S. 36 Highway when a warrant was served around 11 o’clock Friday morning. The man barricaded himself inside.
Officers from the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Doniphan County Sheriff's Department, the Wathena Police Department and the Elwood Police Department surrounded the man's trailer.
Police evacuated the other homes in the area as a precaution. They also called in a negotiator to try to get the man out of the home safely.
The man, whose name wasn’t released, was arrested shortly after 3 o’clock Friday afternoon without incident.
