(KTNC) - A truck driver sustained only minor injuries when authorities say his rig was forced of Interstate 29 in northwest Missouri late Monday night. The accident was reported shortly after 11:00 p.m. Monday.
According to the Missouri State Patrol, Sherman Emery of Clinton, Missouri was driving a semi northbound on the Interstate, 10 miles south of Mound City. The Patrol says the vehicle forced Emery’s semi off the roadway into the median of the highway.
The truck then came back into the passing lane and overturned onto the driver’s side. The load separated from the trailer and wound up in the median. The truck, which was totaled in the accident, also came to rest in the median.
Emery was taken by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph for treatment of minor injuries.
