( KMZA )--The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on a several vehicle thefts in the southwest portion of the county.
On or about February 19th, a white Ford F250 regular cab, two wheel drive, diesel truck was taken from the parking lot of a business in the area of Highway 24 and Military Trail Road, just east of Manhattan. The truck contained Kansas license plate 048BCB.
On the night of February 16th, a white 2008 Chevrolet Impala was stolen from a private driveway on Powercat Drive in the Walnut Grove Mobile Home Park in St George. The car contained Kansas license plate of 692CCF.
A debit card was inside the vehicle and the suspect used this card at two Topeka stores in the early hours of February 17th. His picture was caught on surveillance video. The suspect is a younger light skinned black male who was wearing a tan work type coat, black shirt, and grey pants.
Also the sheriff’s office continues to investigate a vehicle theft that occurred on June 9th of last year. A 2001 Dodge Dakota was stolen from Frieling Auto Sales on US-24 HWY in Manhattan. The Dakota is an extended cab that is black in color. Its wheels are a distinct black color. It had off road lights on the front bumper when stolen. There was no license plate on it.
