( KNZA )--The Jackson County Commission has approved the purchase of three new trucks for the county Road and Bridge Department.
The commission Monday agreed to purchase three 2013 F-250 4 X 4 trucks from Foster Ford in Holton at a cost of $26,130 each.
Some of the department old trucks will be sold on Purple Wave.
In other business, the commission reviewed three bids received for a concrete boat ramp at the newer camping area on the north side of Banner Creek Reservoir.
The commission voted 2-1 to accept the low bid received from Eisenbarth Construction of Holton for $12,460.
Commission Chairman Ed Kathrens cast the lone no vote.
