(KNZA)--As the nation watched the historic near 13-hour filibuster Wednesday by Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul on the Senate floor, they may have missed the support shown for his effort by Kansas Republican Senator Jerry Moran.
The filibuster, officially held to delay the expected confirmation of John Brennan to lead the Central Intelligence Agency, became Paul's chance to speak out against the Obama administration's refusal to rule out the use of drone strikes inside America's borders.

C.I.A. Director-to-be Brennan helped oversee the creation of the secretive drone program when he served as the White House counter-terrorism adviser.
That allowed Paul, and supporting Senator's such as Moran, to speak out against the use of deadly drone strikes against United State's citizens inside the nation's borders, which they say is an unconstitutional threat to civil liberties and due process.
