Nebraska Road Crews Prepared for Storm
(KTNC) - A big winter storm is targeting the region. Snow is expected to start this evening and continue through Thursday, dropping a foot of snow in some areas.
The Nebraska Department of Roads is keeping close tabs on the storm system and spokesperson Mary Jo Oie (like Joy) says their snowplow crews are ready to roll. (play audio :28)
Oie says they will focus on clearing major roadways first. (play audio :25)
Oie says road crews are ready to tackle the bad weather, and she reminds citizens to plan for the storm in advance. (play audio :12)
Oie says crews will remain working around the clock until roads are clear. She reminds drivers to keep safety first. Before heading out Oie suggests you dial 511 to check road conditions or go to the Dept. of Roads website for more details.
